Imagine That Another Great Year At The RTS
It was an eventful evening for Imagine TX at this year's North East & The Border Centre RTS Awards. More than six hundred of the region's leading media professionals gathered at the Sage in Gateshead on Saturday the 21st February to celebrate the awards.
Congratulations goes once again to Peter Groom for bringing home a Royal Television Society award for the second year running. Against stiff competition from fellow nominees David McPhee of Mere Mortals and John Cook of The Edge, Dubbing Mixer/Sound Engineer Peter Groom won the award for Professional Excellence - Craft in the sound category thanks to an excellent portfolio. The work Peter submitted to the RTS judges included the films Maharishi and Keel as well as a commercial produced for the NHS.
In other awards, Imagine TX editor Topher McGrillis collected the Best Production for a Niche or Target Audience (Non-Fiction) award, alongside Dene Films Producer Director Chris Chapman, recognising Topher's superb editing work on the film Meningitis Matters for Newcastle University. Imagine TX Head of Post Production Mark Lediard was nominated for the Professional Excellence - Craft (Visual) award in recognition of his design, compositing and animation work.
